Popular Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr, has cried out over a recent experience at the Nigerian passport office.

Ayra Starr was recently at the Nigerian passport office, however, it appears she wasn’t pleased with the way the officials attended to her, so she called them out online.

According to the “fashion killer” star, the officials made her remove her artificial eyelashes before they attended to her.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “This passport office people really made me just remove my lashes. l’ll never forgive y’all.”

In other news, a Nigerian businessman, Darlington Onyelike, has taken to social media to advise wives, as he avers that there’s no equality in marriage.

Onyelike, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 31, told women that there’s no such thing as marrying one’s friend.

According to Onyelike, a woman’s husband is not her friend but her lord, and he quoted a verse from the Bible to corroborate his claim.

He noted that the vast majority of those who claimed to have married their friends in the past are divorced.

“There is no equality in marriage, stop confusing yourself, there are no two heads in a home, just one and that is your husband. Your husband is the head of the family just like God is the head of the church. Your Husband is not your friend, he is your Lord ( 1 Peter 3:6).” He wrote in part.

The TASCK Creative Company has partnered with YIAGA to drive the SixtyPercentofUs Initiative, which aims to mobilize up to 29 million young people to vote in the upcoming elections. TASCK has played a significant role in driving the initiative through creatives, in keeping with the company’s commitment to encouraging creatives to use their platforms for change. TASCK hopes to accomplish the initiative’s objective of obtaining 60% of eligible young voters to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and cast their ballots in the 2023 elections by using modern and innovative political mobilization techniques.

The SixtyPercentofUs initiative has seen a number of creatives step up through TASCK to encourage their audiences to collect their PVCs. Josh2Funny, Dandizzy, and M.I Abaga are among the creatives who have contributed to the project. With a sketch that raises awareness of how young Nigerians may address their problems by voting, comedian Josh2Funny inspires his youthful audience through humour. He further challenged young skit makers from across Nigeria through a competition called the “Get Big” challenge, which offers a cash prize to skit creators who generate creative content encouraging their audience to vote.

Popular Port Harcourt rapper Dandizzy took to the streets to freestyle for unaware Nigerians, pushing them to go and collect their PVCs with the help of his inspirational lyrics. With over 150k Instagram views, his initial video quickly became viral and is still being shared online.

Well known rapper and CEO of TASCK, Jude M.I Abaga was a driving force behind the #SixyPercentofUs initiative. Through networking events and his own platform, MI continuously motivated young creatives and influencers to use their platforms to encourage their listeners to collect their PVC’s.

“As creatives, we have the power to influence our audience and so it is important that we use that power to create change.” Says M.I, “We cannot just sit back and let the older generation decide for us. We have to play our part in getting young Nigerians to the polls come 2023.”

In line with his comments, MI further held a networking session with young creatives in Jos educating them on the importance of using their platforms and influence to encourage PVC collection and voting in the next election. He further released the song 2023 and launched the #SixtyPercentofUs challenge, inviting artists to produce their own versions of the track with compelling lyrics urging young Nigerians to vote in the coming elections.. The winner of the challenge, Jeblinx, was invited to the Incredible Music Festival in Jos where YIAGA representative Ibrahim Faruk presented him with a N500,000 cash reward.

Over 3,000 spectators watched some of Jos’ most iconic artists perform over the course of the two-day festival, which featured repeated references to the SixtyPercentOfUs message.

“The 2023 General Elections will be decided by those who come out to vote and this is what TASCK is contributing to the #SixtyPercentOfUs Project. Using music challenges and the soft power of creatives as a non-traditional means to mobilize young voters to register, collect PVCs and vote in the 2023 elections.” Ibrahim Faruk, Program Manager (Governance and Development), Yiaga Africa says, “Across various states, creatives have been creating content to mobilize citizens and have been using their platforms to ensure citizens collect their PVCs as well as voter mobilization efforts to turn out and vote on election day.”

The initiative also aims to mobilize a significant portion of first-time voters who may be eligible to cast ballots, mostly among Nigerians who have recently turned 18 years old, or roughly 18-20 million young people. To achieve YIAGA’s objectives, TASCK keeps working to capitalize on the influence that creatives have on social change.

A self-styled relationship expert has advised men to avoid dating women who constantly post their pictures on social media.

In a video circulating online, the woman advised men against committing to such women because they are indirectly putting themselves out there for other men.

According to her, women who frequently share their pictures online are stylishly telling other men that they are available and ready to mingle.

She further emphasized that men should immediately withdraw their commitment from their partners if they are in the habit of uploading their photos online.

In other news, an unidentified married woman has taken to social media to cry out for help after acting irrationally when she found out her husband was cheating on her.
She claimed that she implicated her husband at work and accused him of stealing which caused him to lose his job when she found out he stepped out of their marital vows.

According to her, the husband had been home for 8 months with no source of income and she needed a way to get him his job back because she was unemployed too.

She wrote;

“I found out that my husband is cheating and did something without thinking. I anonymously called his employer to tell him that my husband has been stealing from the company.I provided them with evidence. They fired my husband and he has been unemployed for the past 8 months. Things are very bad for us as I am also unemployed. I need to know if there’s a way they can reinstate him if I recall my evidence. I forgave him for cheating and life is tough with no income. I haven’t worn new clothes since November last year. Please help.”

A young Nigerian lady has set tongues wagging online after she showed off a married man she claims to be in a relationship with.

Taking to social media, she shared a video showing a romantic moment with her beau and sent a message to his children. Via the caption, she told them to forget about this session’s school fees, hinting that their father would be spending his money on her.

In the video that has now gone viral, the young lady is seen whining seductively for the man, whose face is hidden from the camera.

While acknowledging that she does not know the man’s children, she stated that, in addition to the possibility that they won’t get the school fees for the ongoing semester, they might also not receive money to pay for their accommodation.

“I don’t know whose dad this is but forget your school fees and lodge rent for this semester,” she captioned the video.

However, the lady in the video had a wedding ring on, and this stirred speculation that the video and caption are just for laughs.

Nigerian sensational singer, Ric Hassani, has finally cleared the air about his rumored relationship with colleague Waje.

Sometime in 2021, reports made the rounds that the popular Nigerian singers were in a romantic relationship and were set to tie the knot.

Waje further fueled the dating rumor when she shared a loved-up photo of herself and Ric on her Instagram page and captioned it, “It’s time.”

Omawumi, Waje’s friend and colleague, also hinted that the two were getting married in a comment she left on the post.

However, during a recent interview, Ric debunked rumors of an affair with Waje.

Speaking on their relationship during an interview on HOTFM, he noted that they are good friends and not dating.

When asked why he and Waje pulled the engagement stunt in 2021, he noted that it was a mere cruise and it was Waje’s idea.

“I am not in a relationship with Waje. We were just catching cruise. It was Waje, this was completely Waje. I found out about our love the same time. I was just staying quiet to see what would happen, and it was interesting”, he said.

A wedding party reportedly ended in chaos after two female guests broke into a brawl at the reception.

A video from the event that’s currently making the rounds shows the women who were elegantly dressed fighting and throwing plates and spoons at each other.

Other attendees were seen attempting to keep the women from attacking each other, while others fled the venue to avoid being hit by the plates the women were throwing.

Although it’s unclear what caused the fight, netizens reacting to the viral video berated the women for making a scene and ruining the couple’s day. See some comments as you scroll.

Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter, Ric Hassani has disclosed that cheating is not a deal breaker for him in a relationship.

He stated this in a recent interview on Cool FM, while sharing his opinion on infidelity in relationships.

According to the ‘gentleman’ crooner, he won’t mind if his partner cheats on him because they only have one life to live, and they might as well live it to the fullest..

He said as long as they share a deeper connection that transcends what she sees out there, she is free to have affairs.

The 34-year-old singer, who appears to like open relationships, said,

“Honestly, I don’t really mind cheating. You have only one life, if you feel like that’s what you want to do. Fine! As long as we have a deeper connection.” he said.

He added, “If you are my partner and you feel like somebody else is better than me, I go drive you go the guy house”

A while back, Ric Hassani revealed how he once resorted to buying a brand new phone for one of his domestic workers because his ring tone was much to his dislike.

In a tweet of his, he shared that because he so much likes his peace and quiet, he once bought his cook a new phone because he hated his ringtone.

A young Nigerian man has caused quite a stir on the internet after he underwent a cosmetic procedure to achieve pink lips.

A video making round online shows the moment the man, who was evidently dissatisfied with the natural colour of his lips, received the pink lips treatment at a cosmetic studio.

The transformation has however sparked a barrage of comments from netizens who as expected had a couple of things to say about the procedure.

Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has reacted after South African rapper Gigi Lamayne openly expressed her love for him.

Lamayne, in a recent Twitter post, declared that she has so much love for the “Last Last” crooner.

The rapper expressed concern that, despite her strong feelings for Burna Boy, he may never be aware of her feelings, hence why she decided to publicly confess her love for him.

A video making rounds online captures the moment Chiki Onwukwe, wife of Sauti Sol lead singer, Bien, stopped a female fan from grinding on her husband.

Bein was one of the guest artistes at the NRG Radio event dubbed the Mixed And Matched which took place on Saturday, January 28, at the KCA, ABSA ground.

During his performance, Chiki had joined her husband on stage when things took a rather dramatic turn.

A female fan had snuck up on stage and started grinding Bien with her backside in the presence of his wife and the audience.

This didn’t go down well with Chiki who intuitively sent the fan off stage, and lambasted a security guard for allowing the woman get on stage.
