American woman causes a stir as she kneels down to serve her Nigerian husband (video)

An American woman has caused a buzz on social media after she went out of her way to serve her Nigerian husband his meal in a traditional way.

A viral video shows the woman carrying a tray containing a plate of an unidentified Nigerian soup and ‘swallow’ dish to her husband in the sitting room.

She also knelt down to present the meal before him and gave him a bowl of water to wash his hands before he dug into the food.

The woman, who appeared respectful and humble in the clip, could be seen kneeling down and lovingly watching her husband eat the delicacy.

“Serving dinner to my king”, she captioned the video.

The video has received mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with some praising Lauren for respecting her husband’s culture, while others opined that she was acting for the camera because kneeling down is not a common practice for Americans.
